우리대학이 교육인적자원부가 수도권 대학의 특성화 분야를 평가하여 우수대학을 선정, 집중 지원하는 ‘2006년도 수도권대학 특성화
지원사업’에 선정되었다.
선정된 사업은 ‘UIT(Ubiquitous IT) 디자이너의 융합적 능력 향상을 위한 교육시스템 구축’으로
UIT디자인 융합교육프로그램을 개발, 운영함으로써 IT관련 기술기반과 기업의 경영 프로세스를 이해하고 이를 디자인에 반영할 수 있는 UIT융합형
디자이너 양성을 위한 교육시스템 구축을 목표로 한다.
우리대학은 2006년도 신규지원 선정대학 중 최고지원액인 23억 3천 5백만원을 지원받을 예정이며 이 사업에는 조형대학, 경영대학, 전자정보통신대학이 함께 참여하여 학제간 협력을 통한 상승효과도 기대된다.
