배추 속 버무리며 농민, 이웃 생각한 자리

배추 값 폭락으로 시름하는 농민을 위로하기 위한 김장행사가 11월 22일 종합복지관 학생식당에서 있었다.
오후 4시에 시작된 행사에는 김문환 총장, 장언효 부총장, 김용석 교무지원처장 내외와 처장단, 수강학생 80여명 등 150여명이 참여하였다.
김문환 총장은 인사말에서 “이 행사는 배추 값 폭락에 시름하는 농민을 위로하기 위한 김장행사로서 김장김치는 성북구 관내의 저소득층 가계 및 독거노인 등에게 기증하고, 행사에 참여한 외국인에게는 한류문화를 체험하게 하는 등 한 가지 일로 여러 가지 뜻 깊은 일을 하게 되어 보람을 느낀다”고 하였다.
전남 순천에서 1,100포기의 배추를 구입하여 치루어진 이날 김장행사는 이창현 교수(언론정보학부)가 진행하였고, 이웃을 생각하는 따뜻한 행사에 적극 동참하겠다는 구내식당 입점업체인 ‘아워홈’의 인력지원을 받아 300포기의 김치를 담가 김장현장에서 성북구청 관계자에게 전달하였다.
생배추 800포기는 배추를 필요로 하는 우리대학 구성원에게 무상 배포하였다.
