김천 교수, 아시아 원격탐사 발전기여 공적상 수상 / 산림자원학과, 대학원 응용정보기술학과 교수

삼과대 산림자원학과 / 대학원 응용정보기술학과 김 천 교수(56세)는 지난 10월 18일-23일 중국 북경 제 30회 아시아 원격탐사학술대회(30th ACRS 2009)에서 아시아 원격탐사 발전에 기여한 공로가 인정되어 중국국립요감위원회(中國國立遙感委員會, China National Committee on Remote Sensing: CNCRS)와 아시아 원격탐사협의회(Asian Association on Remote Sensing: AARS) 공동으로 부터 공적상(Outstanding Contribution Prize)을 받았다.
김 천 교수는 본 교 삼림과학대학장(5대, 1999. 3- 2001. 2)과 사)대한원격탐사학회 9대 회장(2007. 4- 2009. 3)을 역임하였고, 2004년 아시아 우주과학기술(특히 원격탐사학)의 발전에 이바지한 업적으로 태국 왕실의 Boon Indrambarya Medal을 수여 받은 바 있다.
