국민대 정보보안연구소 최지선(일반대학원 수학전공) 연구원, 조폐공사 '보안기술논문대상' 대상 수상

국민대학교 정보보안연구소의 최지선 연구원(수학과, 석사과정)이 한국조폐공사가 주최한 제 4회 대한민국 보안기술 논문대상 공모전에서 ‘비선형가중치 함수기반 향상된 차분전력 분석‘이라는 주제의 논문으로 대상을 수상하였다.
이 논문은 한동국 교수(수학과)의 지도아래 최근 정부의 전자주민등록증 도입을 앞두고 관심이 고조되고 있는 e-ID 등과 같은 스마트카드의 보안 취약성 검증 방법을 효율적으로 개선한 것으로 평가되어 상을 받게 되었다. 최고의 영예의 대상을 차지한 최지선 연구원에게는 700만원의 상금과 트로피가 수여되었다.
시상식에 앞서 가진 세미나에서는 국내외 보안기술 관련 전문가 14명이 나와 기업의 보안분야 지적재산권 획득 전략을 비롯해 인쇄전자, e-ID , 보안잉크 분야 등 주제를 놓고 발표와 토론을 벌였으며, 조폐공사 전용학 사장은 "보안기술논문 대상은 이공계 대학생들의 보안분야 연구의욕을 고취시키는 데 기여하고 있다"며 "공사가 자체 개발한 개방형 스마트카드 운영체계(COS)를 소개하는 자리도 됐다"고 말했다.
