취업멘토교수제도 신설, 취업·진로지도 담당 교수 선정하여 멘토링

본교는 각 학부(과)별로 취업상담 및 진로지도를 담당하는 교수를 선정하는 취업멘토교수제도를 신설하여 총 46명의 멘토교수를 선정하였다. 취업멘토교수제도는 학과별로 선정된 교수들이 학생 취업에 보다 더 관심을 가지고 임함으로써 학생들의 진로 및 취업지도가 분야별로 이루어지도록 지원하는 제도로 2011년부터 운영된다.
취업멘토교수제도는 학부(과)별로 선정된 취업멘토 교수(산업체 경력이 있는 전임교원 또는 비전임교원)가 취업상담 및 진로지도(전공분야), 산학협력(현장실습), 취업홍보 및 취업알선, 취업관련 교과목 강의 등의 역할을 수행한다. 취업멘토제도 운영을 통해, 전공특성을 고려한 취업상담 및 교육, 학생관리가 이루어지므로써 학생들의 진로, 취업준비에 많은 도움이 될 것으로 예상된다.
취업멘토교수 제도는 3월 중 멘토교수 선정을 시작으로, 4월에 학과별 운영계획 및 멘토교수 오리엔테이션을 거쳐 운영되며, 학기별로 7월과 12월 운영평가를 통해 9월과 3월 우수사례 발표 등이 있을 예정이다.
