국민대, 지역 군부대와 드론기술 및 활용 확대 협약체결

국민대학교(총장 임홍재)는 지난 2021년 10월 14일 드론기술 및 활용서비스의 급속한 확산과 함께 지역 방위를 맡은 육군부대(제56보병사단)와 MOU를 체결했다고 밝혔다.
이날 협약식에는 육군부대의 김효승 대대장, 국민대 오하령 산학협력단장, 김태우 기계공학부 교수, 윤용현 무인항공기술연구센터장이 참석하였다. 국민대는 지역 군부대가 현장에서 필요한 드론의 기술적 애로 사항을 지원해 주고 드론의 군 활용 방안을 자문해 주는 한편, 지역 군부대는 국민대가 필요로 하는 드론 비행실습장소 제공, 드론행사 정보 상호 공유, 드론관련 교육 및 훈련 간 상호 지원 등을 협업하게 된다.
국민대 오하령 산학협력단장은 “양 기관은 드론관련 행사 정보 공유 및 드론 체험 활동 교육을 지속적으로 지원하여, 드론에 대한 사회적 관심도를 높이고 육군 제 2188 1대대와 우리대학의 공존과 발전에 큰 힘을 실어줄 계기가 되기를 희망한다”고 밝혔다.
이번 협약식을 기획한 윤용현·김태우 국민대 교수는 “MOU 협약 체결을 통해 국민대와 육군부대와의 긴밀한 협력관계를 유지하여, 민·군 유대강화 제고와 국가 및 사회발전에 기여하게 되어 영광이다” 고 기대를 밝혔다.
