가레트모션, 국민대에 장학금 수여

자동차 업계에서 차별화된 기술력을 보여주는 가레트모션(NASDAQ: GTX)이 국민대학교 (총장 정승렬) 전자공학부 학생 7명에게 장학금을 수여했다. 이는 2022년 국민대학교 내 가레트모션 연구 센터의 설립에 따른 것이다.
가레트모션의 진보화된 기술은 자동차 제조사들이 탄소 배출을 감소시키고 탄소 배출 제로에 도달할 수 있도록 이바지하고 있다. 또한 가레트모션은 증가하는 커넥티드 차량을 위한 차량용 보안 시스템과 진단 솔루션을 개발하고 있다. 가레트모션 연구 센터는 정구민 교수의 주도 아래 자동차 산업에 대한 공동 연구를 목적으로 설립되었으며, MPC (모델예측제어기법) 과정을 개설하였다.
장학금을 받은 류재학 학생은 “차량 제어기 설계에 대해서 많은 것들을 배울 수 있었다. 좋은 기회를 만들어 주신 가레트모션 관계자분들께 감사드린다.” 라고 밝혔다.
가레트모션코리아 김도균 대표는 “가레트모션연구센터를 통해 훌륭한 학생들과 성공적으로 설계과목 프로젝트를 진행할 수 있었다. 앞으로도 학생들이 다양한 연구 성과를 얻을 수 있도록 학생 지원에 최선을 다할 것” 이라고 밝혔다.
