동유럽 4개 공과대학교, 국민대학교 자동차융합대학 방문 및 MOU 체결

국민대학교 (총장 정승렬)는 동유럽 공과대학교인 코시체공과대학교(Technical University of Košice), 슬로바키아공과대학교(Slovak University of Technology), 실레시안공과대학교(Silesian University of Technology), 오폴레공과대학교(Opole University of Technology)의 주요 보직자 및 학생들이 지난 10월 31일(목) 국민대학교 자동차융합대학을 방문했다고 밝혔다.
이번 방문은 교육부와 한국연구재단의 첨단분야 혁신융합대학사업의 일환으로, 선문대학교 주관의 글로벌캡스톤디자인 교과목을 통해 해외 대학과 연합팀을 구성하여 시제품 개발 프로젝트를 수행하는 프로그램의 일부분이다. 국민대학교에서는 2023년부터 6명의 학생들이 글로벌캡스톤디자인 해외 워크숍에 참여하며 이 프로그램을 통해 동유럽 대학들과의 협력을 강화하고 있다.
방문 기간 동안 국민대학교와 코시체공과대학교는 미래자동차분야 인재 육성 및 혁신 기업 지원을 위한 협력 방안을 논의와 함께 지속적인 협력을 위한 MOU를 체결하였다. 행사에는 국민대학교 김형진 교학부총장, 신성환 자동차융합대학장, 이성욱 국제교류처장을 비롯해 코시체공과대학교 얀 피텔 부총장, 얀 슬로타 부학장 등 총 11명이 참석하였다.
국민대학교 자동차융합대학장 겸 미래자동차사업단장 신성환 교수는 “이번 행사를 통해 동유럽의 우수한 대학들과의 협력관계를 더욱 강화하며, 향후 글로벌 프로그램 활성화와 학생 교류 프로그램 등 다양한 협력 방안을 모색할 예정이다. 이러한 국제적인 교류는 자동차 분야의 발전뿐만 아니라, 학생들의 글로벌 역량과 경험을 제공하는 중요한 계기가 될 것이다.”라는 기대감을 표명했다.
