"지역민 신용회복 돕는데 적극 지원"

"신용불량으로 어려움을 겪는 지역민들이 신용회복으로 밝은 삶을 살아갈 수 있도록 적극적인 지원을 아끼지 않겠습니다."
신임 오병균(51) 한국자산관리공사 광주전남지사장은 "자산공사는 단순히 공매 등을 통해 금융기관이나 자치단체의 부채문제를 해결하는 기관만이 아닌 민원인의 입장에서 신용회복을 돕는 공공기관"이라며 "지역민들이 가깝게 여기고 자주 찾아주는 기관으로 자리매김할 수 있도록 여건을 조성하겠다"고 강조했다.
오 지사장은 "본사는 주로 대기업 매각문제를 주요업무로 하는 반면 지사는 신용회복이나 금융자산, 세금미납 해결 등의 업무를 맡고 있다"며 "특히 자치단체들이 고액세금 미납자들 때문에 골머리를 앓고 있는 경우가 많은데, 자산공사를 활용하면 심적 부담을 덜면서 미납문제를 해결할 수 있다"고 말했다.
광주 출신으로 동신고와 국민대 법학과, 경희대 행정대학원을 졸업한 오 지사장은 지난 84년 입사후 본사 기획조정실 부실장, 아시아태평양 국제 NPL포럼 총괄, 코레트부동산신탁 구조조정 단장, 전북지사장 등을 역임했다. 여균수기자
