새의자-구영회 보령교육장 / 교육대학원 (국어교육 84) 동문

“공교육을 바로 세워 학생들의 학력과 인성을 높이는 보령교육을 만들어 가겠습니다.”
구영회(58·사진) 신임 보령교육장은 “공교육의 질을 높이고 방과 후 학교나 영제교육, 농·어·산촌 학교 등에 골고루 지원해 지역 교육격차를 줄이는 데 최선을 다하겠다”며 “학생들의 학력신장을 위해 지역 특성에 맞는 맞춤형 교육행정을 이끌겠다”고 취임소감을 밝혔다.
보령이 고향인 구 교육장은 대천중·고, 공주교대, 국민대 대학원을 졸업하고 1979년부터 교직에 몸담아 보령교육청 장학사, 대천중, 대천고 교장, 서천교육청 학무과장 등을 역임했다.
