제 18회 국제 청소년 茶 문화대전 대상, 우수상 수상

11월23일 국립중앙박물관 교육관 소강당에서 진행된 2013년 제18회 명원 국제 청소년 茶 문화대전에서 참가한 국민대학교 학생 6명 중 정욱진 학생이 대학부잎차부분 대상 문광부장관상을 수상하였으며 참가한 5학생은 우수상을 시상하였다. 또 한국민대학교는 최우수성적을 이룬 학교에게 주는 단체상을 수상하는 쾌거를 이루어 냈다.
우리 전통 다례의 복원에 앞장선 한국 차의 선구자 명원 김미희 선생의 의지를 이어가기 위하여 시작된 명원 국제 청소년 茶 문화대전은 우리 미래를 이끌어 갈 청소년들이 우리 생활 예절의 기본인 다례로 우리 전통 문화의 자긍심을 높이며 국가관을 확립하고, 세계인의로서 경쟁력을 높인다는 큰 목적을 갖고 있다. 유치부, 초등부, 중등부, 고등부, 대학부, 일반부 순서로 159명이 참가하였으며 67명의 대학생이 참가하였다.
