한국현대시인협회 이사장에 김용언 시인…29일 취임식 / (대학원 국어국문학과 83 동문)

‘사막시인’으로 알려진 김용언(사진) 시인이 한국현대시인협회 24대 이사장으로 선출돼 오는 29일 오후4시 서울 중구 구민회관 소강당에서 취임식을 갖는다. 앞서 오후2시부터 이사회와 제47차 정기총회가 열린다.
김 신임 이사장은 동국대 국문과와 국민대 대학원(국문과)을 졸업했으며, 1977년 시문학으로 등단했다. 고등학교 교사와 국민대 강사, 서울여자간호대 도서관장 등을 지냈다. 그를 ‘사막시인’이라고 부르는 까닭은 홀로 사막을 횡단하며 ‘사막여행’에 관한 시를 많이 발표했기 때문이다.
김 이사장과 함께 최창일, 전원범, 지은경, 이복자, 정신재 시인이 부이사장으로 선출됐다.
