김중희 교수 한국자동차공학회 기술상 수상 / 자동차공학전문대학원

국민대학교 자동차공학전문대학원 김중희 교수가 지난 11월 17일 대구 엑스코(EXCO)에서 열린 2016년도 한국자동차공학회 정기총회에서 ‘한국자동차공학회 기술상’을 수상했다.
한국자동차공학회는 1978년 설립됐으며, 현재 개인회원 2만6000여명과 완성차 5사를 포함한 기업과 연구소 도서관 등 600여 개 법인 및 단체회원이 가입해 활동하고 있는 국내 최대의 자동차 관련 학술단체다.
김중희 교수는 서울대 응용물리학학과를 졸업하고 영국 Cranfield University에서 자동차공학을 전공하였다. 1978년 현대자동차 기술연구소에 입사한 이후 1993년 삼성자동차 창립 멤버로 참여하였고 르노삼성자동차의 프로젝트 메니지먼트와 연구개발 부문을 총괄한 바 있다. 2014년부터 국민대 교수로 재직하며 LINC사업단 부단장을 맡고 있으며 삼성SDI 경영고문으로도 활약하고 있다.
한국자동차공학회 회원으로는 1980년부터 활동하여 이사, 감사 및 부회장을 역임했으며. 현재 한국자동차공학한림원의 사무총장을 맡고 있어 우리나라 자동차공학과 산업 발전에 크게 기여한 것으로 평가 받는다.
