이은형 국민대학교 경영학부 교수가 10일 서강대학교 정하상관 110호에서 열린 한국여성경제학회 2017년도 정기총회에서 제13대 회장으로 취임했다.
이 교수는 취임사에서 "학회 창립 20주년을 맞아, 서울에서 오는 6월 29일 세계여성경제학자대회(IAFFE 2017 Annual Conference)를 연다"며 "한국여성경제학회는 동아시아지역의 성평등 문제를 경제학적 관점에서 다루는 세션을 진행할 것"이라고 설명했다. 동아시아 세션의 주제는 '노동과 젠더' '거시경제와 젠더' 그리고 '문화와 젠더' 등 세 부분으로 구성돼 있다. 고려대학교 동아시아연구소와 일본 오짜노미즈대학이 공동으로 참여할 예정이다.
이 교수는 "올해가 대통령 선거가 치러지는 해인 만큼 인구절벽 문제를 해소하기 위한 근본적인 정책 대안을 제시하는 여성경제정책포럼을 4월 20일에 열겠다"면서 "저출산문제는 여성 개인에게 초점을 맞춰서는 안되며 국가경쟁력 차원에서 범정권, 범부처적 접근이 필요하다"고 밝혔다.
