Rather than ivory-tower scholarship, it is composed of five schools and eight majors that provide diverse practical experiences to meet the needs of businesses and society.

대한민국 외국인교수협회 (NAFSIK) 국제학제간학술컨퍼런스 2026 주관 / 데이비드 윌리엄 김(교양대학) 교수

영국왕립아시아학회 (The Royal Asiatic Society of Great Britain and Ireland) 석학회원이자 대한민국 외국인교수협회 (NAFSIK: National Association of Foreign Scholars in Korea) 창설자 및 전임 회장인 한국우주인연구소 (KIFA) 원장 데이비드 윌리엄 김 (David William Kim) 교수는 NAFSIK 임원 도룩 이리쉬 (Doruk İriş, 서강대학교), 알레나 쿨리니치 (Alena Kulinich, 서울대학교), 올가 쉬베초바 (Olga Shvetsova, 한국기술교육대학교), 안젤리타 크루즈 (Angelita Cruz, 계명대학교)교수와 「제2회 NAFSIK 국제학제간학술컨퍼런스 2026」을 주관.개최하였다. 이번 학술대회는 한국연구재단(NRF) 국제교류본부와 한국연구의 세계화전략을 공유하고, QS 및 THE 세계대학평가 시대에 한국 대학교육과 연구경쟁력 강화를 모색하기 위해 마련되었다.
이번 국제학술대회에는 연세대학교, 고려대학교, KAIST, 서울대학교, POSTECH, 부산대학교, 국민대학교, 서강대학교, 성균관대학교, 인천국립대학교, 강원대학교, DGIST 등 전국 45개 대학에서 활동하는 외국인 교수 100여 명이 참석하였다.
참가자들은 Korean Studies, Law, Medicine, Economics, Social Sciences, Education, Arts and Humanities, Engineering, Mathematical, Physical and Life Sciences, Management and Entrepreneurship 등 다양한 학문 분야에서 국제적인 연구성과를 발표하고 토론하였다. 또한 한국연구재단 정책(외국교수영입)의 전문적인 의견을 교환하며 학문적 협력의 기반을 다지는 시간을 가졌다.
NAFSIK 국제학제간학술컨퍼런스 2026은 한국의 고등교육 세계화에 기여하는 국제 학자들의 역할을 단순 원어민 영어, 프랑스어, 독일어, 스페인어, 중국어 일본어 등 언어교육에 집중된 과거형태를 넘어 장기체류 외국연구자들을 위한 체계적인 연구지원 프로그램을 소개하는 장이 되었다. 특히 참가자들에 학제간 연구성과를 통해 국제학술기금 네트워크의 소개와 향후 공동협력관계를 구축을 위한 기회가 되었다.
