오라클 社에서 자사의 VM VirtualBox 확장팩(Extension Pack) 다운로드 IP를 특정하여 사용자 정보 확인 요청이 발생하여 소프트웨어 사용시 주의사항을 안내합니다.
- VirtualBox 라이선스 사용 유의사항 -
VM VirtualBox의 기본 패키지는 무료
확장팩(Extension Pack)은 상용SW로 유료
라이선스를 보유(구매)하고 있지 않으면 다운로드 및 설치 금지
삭제를 하더라도 설치하여 기 사용분에 대해 라이선스 구매 필요
- 자사 저작물 보호를 위해 제조사가 사용 정보를 직접 수집하고 있으므로 불법 사용으로 문제가 발생하지 않도록 각별히 주의 요망
- 단순히 개인용도로 사용하더라도 캠퍼스 내에서 사용시 불법이므로, 모든 학생, 연구원, 교직원에게 적극 안내
- 학교 정책과 무관하게 사용한 개인의 저작권법 책임은 사용자 개인에게 있으며, 학교에서 재산상 피해 발생 시 당사자에게 구상권 청구 등의 조치 가능
- 저작권 침해의 경우 저작권법 제136조(벌칙)에 의거 5년 이하의 징역 또는 5천만원 이하의 벌금에 처하거나 병과할 수 있음
