"UIT디자이너의 융합적 능력향상을 위한 교육시스템 구축”이라는 사업명으로 2006년 수도권대학 특성화 지원사업의 지원대학으로 우리학교가 선정되었고 그 일환으로 '금요UIT특강'이 개설,운영되는 것이다
목요특강이 사회 각계 전문가들을 모시는 자리라면
금요UIT특강은 디자인, 경영, IT 분야의 전문가들의 강연을 통해 디자인마인드 고취 및 디자인, 경영 그리고 IT분야의 융합적 사고를 함양하고자 하는데에 목적이 있다.
지난 3월 2일, 테크노 디자인 전문대학원의 김철수 교수님이 첫번째 연사로 나선 이후, 한국디자인진흥원의 이일규 원장, 김현선 디자인 연구소의 김현선 연구소장의 강연이 진행되었으며 앞으로도 K옥션의 김순응 대표이사, 정양모 전 국립중앙박물관장, SK텔레콤 조신 전무이사님 등 UIT분야의 최고 전문가들이 금요UIT특강에 예정되어 있다.
최근 전세계적인 핫이슈로 자리잡은 UIT분야와 우리학교가 자랑하는 디자인적 사고의 접근을 시도하는 이번 특강에 학생들의 많은 관심이 있길
바란다.
-UIT란?
유비쿼터스 정보기술(Ubiquitous Information Technology)의 약자로
라틴어로 '편재하다(보편적으로 존재하다)'라는 의미이다. 모든 곳에 존재하는 네트워크라는 것은 지금처럼 책상 위 PC의 네트워크화뿐만 아니라
휴대전화, TV, 게임기, 휴대용 단말기, 카 네비게이터, 센서 등 PC가 아닌 모든 비 PC 기기가 네트워크화되어 언제, 어디서나, 누구나
대용량의 통신망을 사용할 수 있고, 저요금으로 커뮤니케이션 할 수 있는 것을 가리킨다.
