국민대, '인피니언 트레이닝 센터' 개소

국민대학교는 지난 20일 교내에서 세계적 반도체 회사인 인피니언 테크놀로지스와 교육 및 응용기술 연구에 관한 양해각서(MOU)를 체결하고 '인피니온 트레이닝 센터(Infineon Training Center)'의 개소식 행사를 가졌다고 22일 밝혔다.
이날 행사에는 플로스 인피니온 부회장과 앤드류 아태지부사장 및 김문환 국민대 총장 등을 비롯한 관계자들이 참석했다.
이번 MOU를 통해 인피니언 테크놀로지는 교육용 하드웨어와 마이크로 컨트롤러 응용 제품 개발에 필요한 소프트웨어 일체를 제공하게 된다.
아울러 국민대는 학생들의 실험실습 교과목을 비롯하여 완성차업체 및 부품업체 직원들을 대상으로 마이크로컨트롤러의 최신기술에 대해 습득할 수 있는 강좌를 개설하게 된다.
인피니언 트레이닝 센터의 책임자인 안현식 국민대 교수는 “앞으로 인피니언 테크놀로지와의 지속적인 협력 관계를 유지하고 추가 공간도 확보해 종합적인 차량 전자제어 연구센터로 발전시켜 나갈 계획"이라고 말했다.
