국민대, 생명硏과 교류협정 체결

발효융합기술의 첨단연구와 신소재 및 디자인과의 융합기술 개발
본교 이성우 총장은 11월 6일 오전 11시 한국생명공학연구원(생명硏)의 박영훈 원장과 함께 생명硏 본관동 소회의장에서 첨단 발효융합기술 연구, 신소재 개발 및 디자인과의 컨버전스 협력을 위해 양 기관의 주요 관계자가 참석한 가운데 학술·연구 교류협정을 체결했다.
이번 양 기관 간 업무협정은 전통발효식품과 생명공학의 기술을 융합하여 관련분야 전문 인력양성, 대학교와 연구기관 간 교류와 협력을 강화하기 위해 추진되었다.
이를 위해 생명硏은 국민대학교 산하 발효융합기술연구원과 공동 연구협력 체계를 확립하고, 산업화 및 제품화를 위한 발효시설·장비의 공동 활용, 학술정보지식과 사업화 관련 정보교류 등 구축을 위해 노력하기로 합의했다.
향후, 우리 대학교가 축적한 발효분야의 연구성과와 생명硏이 보유한 첨단 과학기술을 접목시켜 이를 전략적으로 상호 연계·활용으로 시너지 효과 창출이 기대된다.
이번 교류협정은 최근에 잇달아 체결된 울산대학교 아산병원(생명의료공학 분야) 및 UC Davis의 로버트 몬다비 와인 및 식품과학연구소(발효 분야)와의 교류협정과 더불어 우리 대학이 적극적으로 추진해 나가고 있는 Bio 융합기술분야에서의 신성장 동력 확보 계획의 일환으로 추진되었다.
