캠퍼스에 기증 나무를 심다

우리학교는 지난 2003년부터 그린캠퍼스 운동을 시작하여 2004년 ‘차 없는 캠퍼스’를 만들고 ‘녹색캠퍼스 함께 하기’수업 등 친환경 캠퍼스 만들기에 주력하고 있다.
이와 더불어 1112번 교내진입 중단을 선언함으로써 완전한 차 없는 캠퍼스를 이루는 성과를 내기도 하였다.
특히, 이번 가을에는 우리학교가 여러 유관기관을 찾아다니며 노력하여 모 공기업과 모 건설회사에서 나무를 무상으로 지원받게 되었다. 그린캠퍼스 참여 교수님중 한분이신 김기원 교수님(산림자원학과)께서 바쁘신 와중에도 조경계획을 흔쾌히 해주셨다.
구체적으로 본부관앞 화단에 소나무 14주와 대형 반송(둥근소나무) 1주를 식재하여 기존의 본부관앞 소나무숲과 조화를 이루고자 하였으며, 용두리근처 기존 버스정류소옆 주차장을 걷어내고 그 자리를 느티나무에게 보금자리를 마련해 주는 등 총56그루 나무 와 산철쭉600주, 조릿대600주, 조팝나무200주를 무상 기증받아 교내 곳곳에 심었다.
앞으로도 기증 나무를 더 많이 지원받아 친환경적인 캠퍼스를 이룰 계획이다.
