국민대학교-미국 Santa Clara Law School 하계 공동프로그램

국민대학교와 미국 Santa Clara Law School은 1994년부터 하계 공동프로그램을 운영해왔다. 그동안 매년 산업재산권, 과학기술과 법, IT와 법, 및 국제거래법 등의 다양한 주제로 국내 유수 대학의 교수 및 변호사를 비롯한 관련 전문가들과 함께 산타 클라라 로스쿨의 교수들이 강의하였다. 이 프로그램은 산타 클라라 로스쿨이 10여개 국가에서 진행하는 Summer study Abroad Program의 하나로서 매년 10여명의 미국 로스쿨 3학년 학생들이 방한하여 프로그램에 참여했다. 미국 로스쿨 학생들은 프로그램 이수 후 미국 변호사협회 공인 학점 4학점을 취득하며, 국민대학교 학생들은 산타 클라라 대학으로부터 4학점을 부여 받는다.
2011 하계 공동프로그램으로는 국제거래법 특별과정과 공동계절학기가 지난 6월20일부터진행되고 있다. 이번 하계 프로그램에는 미국 로스쿨 3학년 재학생 12명이 본 과정에 등록하였으며, 본 과정에 등록한 국내 수강생들과 함께 과정을 이수하게 된다. 강의는 영어로 진행되며, 산타 클라라 교수진은 국제거래법의 이론 부문을 국민대학교 교수진을 포함한 국내 교수진은 한국과 미국간의 각종 거래에서의 실무 사례 부문을 담당 강의한다. 또한, 미국 학생들과 국내 수강생들간의 인적, 문화적 교류의 활성화를 위해서 다양한 오프 캠퍼스 활동도 예정되어 있다.
