한국현대도예가회 제3대 이사장(제16대 회장)에 선출/박경순(도자공예) 교수

조형대학 도자공예전공 박경순 교수가 1월 29일(금) 사단법인 한국현대도예가회(1978년 창립)총회에서 임기 2년(2010~2011) 제3대 이사장(제16대 회장)에 선출되었다.
박경순 교수는 현대 도예의 실험적 장을 연 선두의 도예가 이면서도 작업장을 이천에 마련할 만큼 우리 전통적 도예에 대한 이해와 관심이 많다. 서울미대와 동대학원에서 응용미술을 전공한 박경순 교수는 8회의 개인전을 비롯, 한국현대도예 미국 순회전, 유럽 순회전과 중국, 대만, 이탈리아 초대전, 샌디아고 한국도예초대전, 국내의 KCAF 초대전 등 많은 전시를 가졌다.
현재 국민대학교 도자공예학과 교수로 재직하고 있는 그는 이탈리아 국립도예대학 연구교수를 역임했고 한국화예디자인학회 회장을 맡고 있다. 한국기초조형학회회장, 청주공예비엔날레 국제공모전 심사위원, 경기도 도자기 기술개발사업 평가위원, 세계도자기엑스포 한국현대도자전 큐레이터, 한국공예대전 심사위원 등을 역임할 만큼 한국 도예계에서 많은 활동을 보여주고 있는 대표적 도예가라고 할 수 있다.
