발효융합학과 성문희 교수 장학기금으로 1억원 쾌척

자연과학대학 발효융합학과 교수로 재직 중인 성문희 교수가 지난 2011년 9월 29일 발효융합학과 장학기금으로 1억원을 기탁하였다.
심도 있는 연구 활동뿐만 아니라 학생들이 보다 나은 여건에서 학습할 수 있도록 돕고자 하는 마음에서 이뤄진 이번 기부금은 발효융합학과 학생들의 장학금으로 사용될 예정이며, 감사의 의미로 이성우 총장은 본교 UIT센터에서 제작한 성문희 교수의 흉상을 전달하였다.
성문희 교수는 바이오고분자소재 폴리감마글루탐산에 대한 의약학적 효능 및 용도개발 연구를 수행하여 SCI 국제학술지에 15편 이상의 논문 게재 및 다수의 국제 학술대회에서 연구 내용을 발표하는 등 관련 분야의 학문발전에 기여한 점이 인정되어 세계 3대 인명사전 중 하나인 ‘마르퀴즈 후즈 후 (The Marquis Who's Who in the World) 2011년판에 등재되기도 했다.
