국민대학교 × 미국 콜롬비아 대학교, Gathering Program [Cultural Literacy Through Dance] 성료

국민대학교(총장:임홍재)는 지난 3월25일 일반대학원 무용학 전공과 미국 콜롬비아 대학교 대학원과 협력하여 진행하는 국제교류 Gathering Program [춤으로 문화읽기: Cultural Literacy Through Dance]를 성공적으로 마무리했다.
국민대학교 일반대학원 무용학 전공은 예술적 감성, 창조적 지식, 융합적 사고능력을 겸비한 ‘사회공헌적 문화예술전문가’양성을 목표로 특성화 교육과정을 체계화하여 운영하고 있으며, 미국의 Columbia University Teachers College 박사과정인 Arnhold Institute에서는 국민대학교의 문영 교수를 제1호 International Research Fellow로 초빙하여 박사과정 교육과정 체계화, 전문화를 위해 국제교류를 활성화하고 있다.
해당 프로그램은 양교 간의 협력적 상호작용을 통한 발전적 상생을 모색하는 데 목표를 두고 있으며, 비대면 상황으로 인해 온라인 기반의 체험 수업을 진행하였다. ▲국민대학교 몸통교양의 이해 ▲춤으로 문화읽기 교양강좌 소개 ▲한국춤 기반의 춤으로 문화읽기 실기수업의 실제 등이 포함된 첫 번째 시범 프로그램인 Gathering Program에는 국민대 교원 및 박사과정생 13명과 콜롬비아 대학 교원 및 박사과정생 13명 총 26명이 참여해 3월 25일 오전 8시부터 90분간 실시됐다. 실습 강의 콘텐츠 수강 및 실시간 토의, 한국춤 체험 등 다양한 방법을 활용해 'Cultural Literacy Through Dance‘의 이론과 실제를 경험했다.
이번 국제교류의 책임을 맡은 국민대 문영 교수는 “함께 마주하며 호흡할 수 없다는 점이 아쉽지만, 다른 공간에서 함께 춤추며 국민대학교 무용교육의 가치와 철학인 ‘몸을 통한 전인교육, 주관이 객관이다’를 다시 한번 확인할 수 있는 기회였다.”고 말하며 “지속적인 교류를 통해 국민대학교와 콜롬비아 대학의 무용교육 콘텐츠를 공감하고 공유할 수 있도록 최선의 노력을 다할 것”이라고 밝혔다.
