국민바이오-바이오미, 마이크로바이옴 소재 임상연구 및 제품화 위한 MOU 체결

국민바이오㈜(대표이사 성문희)가 지난 7일 ㈜바이오미(대표이사 윤상선)와 연세대학교 에비슨의생명연구센터에서 바이오헬스 마이크로바이옴 식의약소재 임상연구를 위한 공동연구 개발과 마이크로바이옴 글로벌 진출을 위한 인허가 및 인체적용시험 등의 임상연구 수행에 관한 업무협약(MOU)을 맺었다고 밝혔다.
이날 협약을 통해 양사는 보다 효과적이고 안전한 바이오헬스 마이크로바이옴 식의약 소재에 대한 상호 효력 입증과 임상연구 추진 및 바이오헬스 소재의 제형화 및 제품화를 통한 바이오헬스 마이크로바이옴 사업화를 효율적으로 추진할 수 있는 기틀을 마련할 전망이다.
두 기업은 이번 전략적 제휴를 통해 바이오헬스 마이크로바이옴 조절 식의약소재에 대한 임상연구 및 제품화에 박차를 가할 전망이다. 동물효력시험을 통해 새로운 효력이 입증된 국민바이오㈜의 소이바이옴2(Soybiome2) 소재를 사용해 염증성 대장염 예방 및 치료를 위한 임상연구가 진행될 예정이며, 두 기업의 다양한 바이오헬스 식의약소개발 소재들에 대해 제형화 및 제품화를 진행해 본격적으로 마이크로바이오 시장에 진출할 계획이다.
