소프트웨어융합대학, 제10회 알고리즘 대회 개최

국민대학교(총장 정승렬) SW중심대학사업단과 소프트웨어융합대학이 공동 주최·주관한 제10회 국민대학교 알고리즘 대회가 지난 8월 16일(토) 국민대 미래관에서 성황리에 개최되었다. 올해로 10주년을 맞은 이번 대회는 알고리즘 역량을 겨루는 대표적 행사로 자리매김하며, 명실상부한 소프트웨어 인재 발굴의 장으로 발전했다.
국민대학교 알고리즘 대회는 지난 10년간 고등학생 대상 프로그래밍 교육 저변 확대와 우수 인재 발굴에 기여해왔다. 특히 최근 인공지능이 생성한 코드를 단순히 작성하는 능력보다, 이를 검증하고 설명하며 책임 있게 활용하는 역량이 중요해지는 시대적 흐름 속에서, 이번 대회는 참가자들에게 실질적 학습 효과와 의미 있는 경험을 제공했다. 대상의 영예는 김유담(경기과학고 2학년) 학생에게 돌아갔다.
국민대 소프트웨어융합대학 황선태 학장은 “이번 대회는 단순한 코딩 능력 경쟁을 넘어, AI 시대에 필수적인 코드 검증력과 책임 있는 활용 능력을 기르는 장이 되었다”며 “알고리즘 대회 참가 성과를 신입생 선발에 지속적으로 반영하는 계획 등을 통해 앞으로도 국민대는 미래 소프트웨어 인재 육성에 앞장설 것”이라고 밝혔다.
