제 7회 소외된 90%를 위한 창의설계 경진대회 동상 / 기계시스템공학부

2015년 5월 22일 서울대학교에서 제 7회 ‘소외된 90%를 위한 창의설계 경진대회’가 개최되었다. 한국연구재단에서 주최하고 전국 대학에서 78개팀 300여명이 참가한 이 대회에서, 국민대학교 공과대학 기계시스템공학부 휴먼테크놀로지캡스톤디자인(지도교수: 이건상)을 수강중인 송승민(4학년), 문주호(4학년), 박이찬(4학년), 박성철(3학년) 학생 팀이 동상을 수상하였다.
이번 경진대회 주제는 적정기술(appropriate technology)로 지구상의 기술낙후지역이나, 이미 산업화된 국가일지라도 소외된 지역의 주민에게 제공하는 적절하고 단순한 공학기술을 의미한다. 국민대 팀은 네팔의 열악한 아궁이 환경개선을 위하여 기존의 아궁이와는 달리 다양한 기능의 아궁이를 설계하여 출품하였다.
2014년 제6회 경진대회에서도 교육부의 대학특성화사업(CK-Ⅱ)인 휴먼테크놀로지 창의인재 육성사업단(단장: 이건상)에서 지도받았던 김영준(2015년 2월 졸업) 학생 팀은 동상을 수상한 바 있다. 휴먼텍사업단은 지속적으로 학생의 교과 및 비교과활동을 지원하고 있다.
