Gold Museum of New Taipei City Government
'2018 대만 국제 금속공예 공모전'에 국민대학교 일반대학원 금속공예학과 동문 5명이 수상하였다.
2018 대만 국제 금속공예 공모전(2018 New Taipei City International Metal Craft Competition)은 2007년부터 Gold Museum of New Taipei City Government에서 주관하는 국제 공모전으로 대만뿐만 아니라 전 세계의 젊은 공예가들을 지원하고 공예 예술의 다양성을 장려하고 있다.
대만 Gold Museum은 New Taipei city 정부의 후원을 받아, 2007년부터 진행되었던 대만국내공모전의 경험을 바탕으로 Gold Museum의 10주년을 기념하고, 타이완 금속공예를 국제적으로 알리고자 하는 취지에서 2015년 국제공모전으로 그 규모를 확장되었다.
2018 공모전에는 총 22개 국가에서 210명이 장신구와 오브제 두 분야에 지원했다. 이로써 동북아시아의 공예 미술이 세계무대에 뛰어들 만큼 발전하고 있다는 것을 보여주고 있으며, 공모전을 통해 교육뿐만 아니라 현재와 미래의 문화 참여와 활동을 통한 새로운 활력을 제공하는 기회가 되고 있다. 모든 수상작은 온라인 등 전자책 형식으로 공개되었으며, 11월까지 Gold Museum에서 실물이 전시되고 있다.
일반대학원 금속공예학과 동문 5명-정령재(‘11/Honorable Mention), 전종국(’12/Honorable Mention), 임지수(‘13/입선), 이예주(’13/재학중/Honorable Mention), 이하송(‘15/재학중/입선)-이 입상하였으며, 정령재, 이예주는 장신구 부문에서 전종국, 임지수, 이하송은 오브제 부문에서 각각 수상하였다.
