故 東谷 박승오 교수의 유족이 1억원의 장학기금을 학교 발전기금 창구에 접수했다. 4월 25일 4천만원에 이어 9월 25일 6천만원을 추가로 낸 것이다. 지난 2월 별세한 박 교수는 15년 가까이 우리대학 경제학부 교수로 봉직하다 1993년에 정년퇴임하였으며, 경상대학장, 대학원장 등의 직책을 맡았다. 장학기금을 기탁한 사모님 한원순 여사에 의하면 고인은 “생전에 후학들을 위한 장학금을 조성하겠다”는 뜻을 지인들에게 자주 밝혔다고 한다. 기부는 이러한 고인의 뜻을 유족이 실천한 것으로 한여사는 “최근 보도된 대학별 기부금 현황 순위에 국민대가 누락돼 약정실천을 더 앞당기게 됐다.”는 말을 덧붙였다. |
임재봉(정보통신)교수 2천만원 기부
| 전자정보통신공학부의 임재봉 교수가 지난 9월 25일 발전기금 2천만원을 기탁했다. 연구실에 찾아간 담당자에게 “부임한지 25년도 되고 올해가 우리대학의 개교 60주년이라 가족과 함께 결정했다.”고 말했다. 이전에 졸업동문의 발전기금 기탁을 수차례 연결한 임 교수는 1982년 우리대학에 부임하여 많은 연구 업적과 산학협력을 이끌어 왔는데, GPS 시스템 application, 셀룰라, IMT-200용 광중계기 설계 부문의 연구 업적과 SKT, 흥창, 삼성전자, Netel, 에이텔시스텍 등의 기술고문을 맡아 정보통신분야를 개척해 오고 있다. |  |
