제18대 광복회 신임회장에 김영일 애국지사 당선 / 행정(17회) 동문

광복회 제18대 회장으로 김영일 애국지사가 당선됐다. 5월 13일 광복회관 9층 강당에서 개최된 제35차 정기총회에서 전 육군대학 총장, 한국해외개발공사 사장을 역임한 김영일(金永逸, 83세) 애국지사가 선출됐다.
평북 정주 출신으로 민족대표 33인중의 한분인 이승훈 선생이 설립한 오산중학을 졸업한 김 회장은 대한민국임시정부 한국광복군 제3지대 입대하여 국내 진공작전을 위한 미 OSS특수훈련에 참가하였다.
김 회장은 앞으로 3년간 광복회원들의 숙원사업인 광복회의 위상제고, 회원복지 문제, 그리고 각 시도지부를 통한 다양한 의견을 수렴을 통해 현안문제들을 개선해 나가겠다고 당선 소감을 피력했다.
