해외 연수중 자원봉사로 학교 위상을 높이다 / 강다길 (컴퓨터공학 05)

지난 4월 18일 KSEA(Korean-American Scientists and Engineers Association)에서 주관하는 전미 수학경시대회(National Math Competition : NMC) 가 열렸다.
이 행사는 전 미주지역에서 동시에 개최되었으며, 시카고 지역 한인 2세들을 위한 대표적인 교육행사로 자리 잡고 있다. 이 행사의 참가 자격은 미국학제로 4학년부터 11학년까지이며, 한인 2세 학생과 그 부모님들을 포함하여 매년 250여명 이상이 참가하는 대규모 행사이다.
매년 4월에 개최되는 본 대회에 현재 미국 시카고에 소재한 일리노이 공과 대학(IIT : ILLINOIS INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY)에서 연수중인 국민대학교 컴퓨터공학과 4학년 강다길 양이 자원봉사를 위해 행사에 선발되어 참여했다.
KSEA 중서부지부 (KSEA Midwest Chapter)의 장동욱 회장은 “귀 대학교의 학생이 이번 대회의 자원봉사 역할을 훌륭히 이수하였기에, 해당 학생의 노고에 감사한다”며 서신을 보내왔다.
