제12회 산의 날 근정포장 수상 / 김기원(산림환경시스템학과) 교수

삼림과학대학 김기원 교수가 산림청이 주최한 제 12회 산의 날(10월 18일 오후 2시) 기념식에서 산림문화와 복지에 기여한 공로로 근정포장을 수상하였다.
산림청은 올해로 열두번 째인‘산의 날‘을 맞아 충북 청원군 청남대에서 기념식을 개최했다. 이날 기념식에는 산림청장·지역 국회의원·충북 부지사 등 산림문화와 진흥에 공헌한 유공자 13명과 산림관계자 1,000여명이 참석한 가운데 훈장과 포상시상식이 있었다.
산의 날은 2002년 UN이 정한 ‘세계 산의 해’를 맞아 산림청이 정한 기념일로 산림의 가치와 소중함을 생각하고 산 사랑을 실천하는 계기로 삼자는데 의미를 두고 있다.
신원섭 산림청장은“산의 날을 맞아 산림의 소중함을 국민들에게 알리고 산림경영자들의 고부가가치를 돕기 위해 산림경영컨설팅과 산림경영 활성화와 임업인들 소득향상에 힘쓰겠다”고 말했다.
산림청이 주최하고 충북도가 지원한 이번행사는 17~19일“산림복지국가 구현”을 주제로 한 다양한 축제와 세미나 등으로 열렸다.
