체육대학 신승호교수, 대한체육회 우수연구상 수상/신승호(체육학부) 교수

체육대학 신승호 교수가 지난 2월 22일 올림픽파크텔에서 거행된 제59회 대한체육회 체육상 시상식에서 우수연구상을 수상하였다. 이 상은 2012년 한해동안 대한민국 체육계에 현저한 공을 세워 체육발전에 기여한 체육인들을 대상으로 경기, 지도, 심판, 공로, 그리고 연구부문으로 나누어 수여하는 것이다.
신승호교수는 운동선수들의 경기력 향상과 함께 학업성적을 진단분석하여 공부하는 운동선수 육성 등 국내 체육의 선진화 방안을 제시해 왔으며, 아마추어경기단체들의 재정자립을 위한 마케팅전략의 연구를 통해 스포츠단체들의 재정건전성을 개선시키는 등 스포츠환경의 지속적 발전을 위해 많은 노력을 해왔다.
이와 같은 연구를 통해 국내 엘리트체육 및 학교체육, 그리고 스포츠산업의 기반조성 및 경쟁력 강화에 많은 역할을 함으로써 이 상을 받게 되었다.
