사우디아라비아 국제교육박람회서 생방송으로 국민대학교 홍보

본교 건설시스템공학부에 재학중인 사우디아라비아 유학생 모하마드 알감디 군은 지난 2013.04.16(화)~19(금)간 사우디아라비아 고등교육부 주최로 사우디아라비아 리야드에서 개최된 제4회 사우디아라비아 국제교육박람회(4th International Exhibition & Conference on Higher Education) 참가 계기에 사우디 고등교육부 방송에 출연하여 국민대학교에 대한 소개와 함께 한국에서의 유학 생활을 소개하였다.
모하마드 군은 약 30분간 진행된 생방송 인터뷰를 통해 본교의 우수한 한국어 교육과 아랍권 유학생에게 제공되는 다양한 제도 등을 소개함은 물론, 교내 동아리 활동을 통해 배울 수 있었던 한국 문화에 대한 흥미로운 에피소드도 소개하였다.
사우디 전역에 생방송으로 송출된 이번 방송을 통해 사우디아라비아에서 본교의 우수성을 소개할 수 있었을 뿐만 아니라, 사우디내 한국 유학에 대한 관심을 확산시킬 수 있는 계기가 된 것으로 보인다.
한편, 모하마드 군은 2013.05.15(수) 개최된 “제16회 세계 외국인 한국어 말하기 대회”에 참가하여 ‘무슬림으로 대학교 뒤풀이에서 살아남는 노하우’라는 주제를 유창한 한국어로 발표해 최우수상을 수상한 바 있다.
