정성진 전총장 제6회 대한민국 법률대상 수상

법률소비자연맹은 ‘제6회 대한민국 법률대상’ 수상자로 정성진 국민대 명예교수(전 총장, 전 법무부 장관), 성김 주한 미국대사, 성낙인 서울대 법대 교수, 정의화 새누리당 의원, 정세균 민주당 의원, 김영일 변호사(전 헌법재판관), 이철규 전 경기경찰청장 등 7명을 선정했다고 10일 발표했다. 2003년에 제정된 이 상은 자유민주적 기본질서의 확립과 인권과 정의가 존중되는 국가 실현에 공적이 있는 인사를 수상자로 선정한다.
김 대사는 6자회담의 미국 측 수석대표를 맡아 한반도 긴장 완화에 기여한 공로를 인정받았고, 성 교수는 30여권의 헌법 관련 저서와 200여편의 논문 등을 발표하는 등 헌법학 발전을 이끌어 온 점을 높이 평가받았다. 이 전 청장은 2011년 검·경 수사권 조정과 관련 ‘형사소송법 개정’ 등 사법개혁에 주도적으로 참여했다. 시상식은 오는 17일 오후 5시 서울 반포 팔래스호텔에서 열린다.
