영국 빅토리아 앨버트 뮤지엄, 전용일(금속공예학과) 교수 작품 영구소장

공예와 디자인분야에서 세계적인 명성을 유지하고 있는 영국의 빅토리아 앨버트 뮤지엄(Victoria and Albert Museum)이 2014 런던 콜렉트 국제아트페어에 출품된 전용일 교수의 작품을 구입 소장하기로 했다.
지난 5월 9일부터 4일 동안 런던의 사치갤러리(Saatchi Gallery)에서 개최된 2014 콜렉트 아트페어는 전세계의 40여개의 공예전문 갤러리들이 참가했으며, 전 교수는 독일 로즈마리예거 갤러리의 초대작가로 출품했다. 소장 작품은 차 도구 세트로, ‘백동 손잡이의 주전자’ 1점과 백자 컵 2점으로 구성되었다.
빅토리아 앨버트 뮤지엄은 영국 왕립박물관 중의 하나로, 중세부터 근대에 걸친 유럽 미술에서부터 동양미술 작품에 이르기까지 광범위한 소장품을 보유하고 있으며, 특히 장식미술, 공예분야에서는 세계적 규모와 내용을 자랑한다.
