대전시체육회 진장옥 사무처장(61·사진)이 유임됐다.
대전시는 4일 시체육회 제10대 사무처장에 진장옥 사무처장을 유임한다고 4일 밝혔다.
시는 지난해 열린 제95회 전국체전 종합 10위 달성과 코레일·스포츠토토 연고 유치 성공, 전문체육 경기력 향상·저변 확대 등을 유임 이유로 설명했다.
진 처장은 오는 13일 예정된 체육회 정기이사회 동의절차 후 정식 임명된다. 임기는 2017년 1월 12일까지 2년간이다.
대전 대성고와 국민대 체육학과를 졸업한 진 처장은 1984년 LA올림픽과 1988 서울올림픽에서 여자마라톤 코치를 맡았다.
그는 대한육상경기연맹 이사·대전시체육회 이사·대전시 가맹경기단체 전무이사협의회 회장·수자원공사 운동선수단 총감독 등을 거쳐 2011년 대전시체육회 사무처장에 취임했다.
