한국 남자 청소년 볼링, 아시아선수권 4인조 은메달 획득 / 최형진(체육학부 14)

한국 남자 청소년 볼링대표팀이 제 18회 아시아 청소년 볼링선수권대회에서 은메달을 따냈다.
최형진(국민대)과 홍준영(원광대) 서효동(백성고) 김희진(경북도청)은 29일 마카오에서 열린 대회 4인조에서 합계 5164점을 획득했다. 우승을 차지한 싱가포르(5289점)에 뒤졌지만 말레이시아(5163점)에 1점 앞서 은메달을 획득했다. 이번 대회 첫 메달을 한국에 안겼다.
첫 게임에서는 전체적으로 불안한 출발을 보였지만 각각 6게임씩을 치르는 와중에 점수의 기복을 줄이고 선수들간 격차를 좁힌 것이 큰 힘이 됐다. 첫 게임 4명의 합계는 706점으로 중하위권 수준이었지만 2게임에는 합계 910점으로 분위기를 전환했다. 싱가포르는 최고성적의 선수와 최저성적 선수의 에버리지 격차가 23점이 넘었고, 말레이시아도 26점이나 됐지만 한국은 10점 남짓으로 큰 격차없이 고른 실력을 보여줬다.
이번 대회는 지난 24일 시작한 가운데 한국은 오는 30일과 31일 열리는 마스터즈에서 추가 메달 사냥에 나선다
