오페라 ‘시집가는 날’ 중국 산시성 공연 / 변승욱 (음악학부) 교수

변승욱 국민대 예술대학 음악학부 교수가 오영진 원작, 임준희 작곡, 오페라 '시집가는 날‘로 3월 28, 29일 중국 산시(陝西)성 시안(西安)시 대회당에서 총 네 차례의 공연을 펼쳤다.
'시집가는 날'은 한국의 저명 희극 오영진 원작 '맹진사댁 경사'를 원작으로 한국 전통, 유머가 어우러진 한국 오페라 대표적 명작이라고 중국 통신매체인 대공망은 전하면서 한국인의 가치관, 한국 전통의 혼례 문화를 희극적으로 체현하는 멋진 공연이 되었다고 소개했다.
이번 공연은 산시(陝西)성 시안(西安)시를 비롯 중국 전역에 30여개의 채널로 방송되었으며 한국 최고의 뮤지션들로 구성된 서울필하모니오케스트라, 메트 오페라 합창단, 국수호무용단 등이 함께 공연하였다.
또한 이번 공연에서는 지난 2008년 베이징(北京) 올림픽 개막식에 참가했던 중국 산시성 한청 현지의 유네스코문화유산 '한청전통타악문화' 공연단이 중국을 찾은 한국 손님들과 멋진 협연을 펴는 기회도 갖게 된다고 대공망이 덧붙였다.
