전국학생 드론비행 경진대회서 최우수·우수 수상 / 기계시스템공학부 크론

2015년 5월 6~8일 동안, 광주광역시와 한국생산기술연구원이 공동주최한 2015국제뿌리산업전시회 기간 중 전국학생 드론비행 경진대회(예선, 본선이 각각 하루씩) 있었다. 24명의 학생이 선수로 참가하여 드론운행 경합이 열린 이 대회에서 국민대학교 기계시스템공학부의 유우종 학생(3학년)과 김재현 학생(1학년)이 참여하여 각각 최우수상(광주광역시 시장상 1명)과 우수상(김대중 컨벤션센터 사장상 1명)과 상품을 받았다.
이번의 비교과 학생 활동은 교육부 지원 수도권대학 특성화사업(CK-II) 휴먼테크놀로지 창의인재육성 사업단(단장 기계시스템공학부 이건상교수)에서 지원하였다. 한편, 유우종 학생은 휴먼텍사업단의 활동 지원을 받아서, 지난 4월 29일 한국생산제조시스템학술대회 주관으로 열린 드론경진대회에서 창의상과 상금을 수상하기도 하였다.
