과학기술 우수논문상 수상 / 김태호(기계시스템공학부) 교수

국민대학교의 공과대학 기계시스템공학부 김태호 교수가 7월 1일 서울 강남구 역삼동의 한국과학기술회관에서 개최된 2015 대한민국 과학기술 연차대회에서 과학기술 우수논문상을 수상하였다. 과학기술우수논문상은 과학기술관련 국내학술단체에서 지난해 실린 우수논문을 1편씩 추천받아 한국과학기술단체총연합회에서 엄격한 검토와 선정을 거쳐 시상하는 상으로 국내에서 가장 권위 있는 상이다.
김태호 교수는 국민대학교 일반대학원 기계설계학과 졸업생 최태규 동문 (2015년 2월 석사 졸업, 현 두산중공업 재직)과 한국윤활학회지에 피봇 강성을 고려한 틸팅 패드 저널 베어링의 해석에 관한 논문을 발표하였으며, 연구개발 성과의 우수성을 입증 받아 이번 수상을 하게 되었다. 김태호 교수는 2011년 및 2012년 미국기계학회 Journal of Tribology (SCI 학술지) 최우수논문상 연속 수상, 2013년 미국기계학회 Burt L. Newkirk Award 학술상 한국인 최초 수상에 이어, 올해 과학기술 우수논문상을 수상함으로써 국내 학계에서도 연구성과의 우수성을 입증받았다.
