2015 Taiwan International Metal Crafts Competition 수상 / 일반대학원 금속공예학과

2015 Taiwan International Metal Crafts Competition 국제공모전에서 국민대학교 일반대학원 금속공예학과 이요재(11학번) 대학원생이 은상을 수상하는 등 총 5명이 수상하는 영예를 안았다.
이번 티이완 국제 공모전은 타이완 Gold Museum이 New Taipei city 정부의 후원을 받아, Gold Museum의 10주년을 기념하고, 타이완 금속공예를 국제적으로 알리고자 하는 취지에서 2007년부터 진행되었던 대만국내공모전의 국제공모전으로 그 규모를 확장한 것이다.
Jewerly와 Objects로 나누어 진행된 이번 공모전에는 40개국에서 330명의 작가가 지원하였으며, 28명의 뛰어난 작품들이 금상, 은상, 동상, Quality Prize, Merit Award 및 입선 등 두 분야에서 각각 선정되었다.
Jewerly 분야에서 이요재(대학원 ‘11)는 Silver Prize와 미화 3000불의 상금을 받았다. 같은 분야에서 김희앙(대학원 ‘12)동문이 Quality Prize, 임종석(대학원 ’13)동문이 Merit Award를 수상하였으며, Objects 분야에서는 한상덕(대학원 ‘99)동문이 Merit Award를 수상하였다.
특히 각 분야 Top3는 'Gold Museum 전시' (2015. 6. 23 ~ 8. 23) 이후에 타이완 남부인 타이난의 'Creative Tainan'에서 2015년 11월까지 전시될 예정이며, 미국과 타이완의 문화교류 일환으로 미국 테네시주 'National Ornamental Metal Museum'에서 2015년 12월부터 2016년 3월까지 전시될 예정이다.
