유니버설발레단 수석 무용수 엄재용, ‘2015 오늘의 젊은 예술가’ 수상 / 일반대학원 공연영상학과 무용학전공 14

유니버설발레단 수석무용수 엄재용이 문화체육관광부에서 수여하는 ‘2015 오늘의 젊은 예술가’ 무용부문에 선정됐다.
‘오늘의 젊은 예술가상’은 장래가 촉망되는 20~40대 젊은 예술가들을 선정해 매년 시상해오고 있으며, 올해는 본교 대학원 무용학전공 재학중인 엄재용이 선정되어 지난 12일 국립국악원 우면당에서 수상하였다.
엄재용은 프랑스 파리 21세기 에뚜왈 갈라(2002)를 시작으로 헝가리 월드발레스타 갈라(2005), 우크라이나 월드스타 발레 페스티벌(2005), 루마니아 시비우 발레단 초청공연(2010), 타이페이 인터내셔널 발레스타 갈라(2012) 등 국제 무대에 초청돼 한국 발레의 위상을 높였다. 2014년부터 일본 도쿄시티발레단의 객원무용수로 활동하고 있으며, 최근 현대무용 ‘푸가’ (안무 정영두)에 출연하며 활동영역을 넓히고 있다.
