제9대 서임수 학장 별세

국민대학교 제9대 국민대학교 서임수(徐壬壽, 94) 학장(임기 : 1973.03.21 ~ 1976.04.16.)이 지난 4일 새벽에 별세했다.
서임수 학장은 경북 대구 출신으로 대구 고등보통학교(현 경북고등학교)와 경성대학교 법학과를 졸업하고 서울대학교 정치학과 교수, 공군 정훈감, 국회사무처 총무국장, 제4대 국회의원, 경향신문 부사장, 중경고등학교 이사장, 한국해외개발공사 사장 등을 지냈다.
빈소는 서울아산병원, 발인은 6일 오전 8시다.

- 1974.01 학부제로 개편(6개 학부 체제 구축)

- 1976.03 기계설계학과 증설, 일반대학원 법·행정·경제 석사과정 설치
국민학원을 인수한 성곡의 뜨거운 열정은 국민대학의 교직원 및 학생들의 가슴에 선명히 각인되어 학교가 중흥, 발전되어 가는 밑거름이 되었다. 이는 곧 현실이 되어 국민여자초급대학을 병설하고 중앙농민학교를 인수하여 국민대학의 교세가 커갔다. 또한 새로운 꿈을 펼치기에 어려움이 많았던 창성동 시기를 뒤로하고, 교육백년지대계의 꿈을 이루기 위해 1971년 북악과 북한상이 어우러진 정릉캠퍼스 시대를 열어 괄목상대한 역사를 이뤄나가게 되었다.
