이정아 개인전, 갤러리 자인제노 7월11일부터 20일까지 … 자연에 대한 고마움과 아쉬움 표현 / 디자인대학원 96 동문

이정아의 개인전이 갤러리 자인제노에서 7월11일부터 20일까지 열린다. 유년시절 자연의 소리와 함께 자랐던 추억을 간직한 작가는 세월의 흐름과 동시에 변해버린 자연에 대한 고마움과 아쉬움을 작품에 녹여냈다.
형식이나 기법, 주제의 제약 없는 사소한 붓질조차 작가의 감수성에서 기인하고 있는 이번 전시회는 ‘새로운 나’ 를 자각하는 계기가 된다. 또 동시대를 살아온 이들과 즐거운 소통을 지향하는 통로가 되고 있다.
눈을 감으면 바람에 바스락거리는 나뭇잎의 흔들림, 새의 지저귐, 흐르는 시냇물 소리까지도 그대로 느낄 수 있었던 작가의 가장 소중하고 아름다웠던 시절은 그의 작품속에서 알지 못할 암호와 기호, 삐뚤삐뚤한 글씨체와 뒤섞여 자유분방하게 재구성된다. 어느덧 세월이 흘러 ‘어른’ 으로 불리게 되었지만 마음 한켠에서 늘 그리워하던 어린시절의 기억을 떠올리며 그 시절에 관한 이야기를 끌어낸 작업이다.
이정아 씨는 상명대와 국민대 대학원에서 실내디자인을 전공했다. 이번 전시회에서는 작가의 기발한 상상력과 동심에 대한 그리움을 공감할 수 있다.
