국민대 KUST, 국내최초 전기차 ‘서울시 모빌리티 해커톤’에 키트를 후원, 멘토링 하다!

지난 9월 19~21일 서울 송파구 올림픽공원 SK핸드볼경기장에서 서울시 모빌리티 해커톤이 개최됐다. ‘국민대, KUST(Kookmin University Solarcar Team)’는 서울시청과 손을 잡고 전기차 키트를 제작해 후원했다. 해커톤(Hackathon)은 해커(Hacker)와 마라톤(Marathon)의 합성어로 일정기간동안 다양한 분야의 구성원과 아이디어를 내고, 제작하는 행사이다. 이번 행사는 서울시의 환경, 교통 등의 도시문제 솔루션을 전기차에 접목하는 미션이 주어졌다. 참가자들은 KUST가 제작한 키트를 기반으로 직접 조립하면서 전기차의 원리를 이해하고 전기차의 미래를 함께 고민할 수 있었다. 태양광을 전기차에 부착하거나, 미세먼지 정화 시스템 등 미래에 미리 대비할 수 있는 다양한 솔루션을 내놓았다. 또한 쇼케이스에는 정구민 교수(전자공학부)가 ‘전기자동차의 미래’에 대해 기조연설을 하기도 했다.
KUST는 지난 2015년 호주 사막 3,022km를 종단하는 World Solar Challenge에 국내 대학생 최초 완주한 융합형 친환경 자동차 팀이다. KUST는 앞으로 엔지니어정신과 기업가정신을 키워 미래의 친환경 자동차 산업의 발전을 위해 전장 제품 개발, 스마트카 제작 등 다양한 도전에 뛰어들 것이라고 말했다.
