김수현 개인전 전시작
바람 많은 섬 제주의 이미지와 정서를 도예작품으로 표현혀낸 전시회가 열리고 있다.
지난 15일부터 오는 27일까지 서귀포예술의전당 전시실에서는 '바람… 섬'을 주제로 한 김수현 개인전이 마련되고 있다. 이번 전시회는 지역작가 창작지원을 위한 서귀포 전시 우수작품전으로 열리는 것으로 한국문화예술위원회와 서귀포예술의전당이 주최한다.
전시회에서 작가는 바람을 그릇 형태의 사물에 형태적으로 투영시켜놓고 있다. 흙으로 여러 형태의 그릇을 만들고 검정이나 파랑, 흰색 등 제주의 바다에서 보여지는 느낌을 담아내는 가 하면, 그 위에 바람부는 섬 제주를 형상화시키고 있는 것이다. 단순한 도예작품이기 보다는 바람을 통해 제주인의 삶과 애환을 담아내려는 작가의 시도이기도 하다.
작가는 국민대 대학원 도예학과를 졸업하고 6회의 개인전을 열었다. 2014제주우수청년작가에 선정됐고, 미국LA 컨벤션센터 국제도예애전 우수상 및 공모전에서 10회 입상했다. 현재 한국미협, 주전자회, 제주도예가회 회원등으로 활동하고 있다.
