'영국 캠브리지 국제인명센터(IBC)' 인명사전 등재 / 김상철(컴퓨터공학부) 교수

국민대학교 컴퓨터공학부 김상철 교수가 영국 캠브리지 국제인명센터(IBC, International Biographical Centre)에서 발행하는 “21세기 2,000명의 탁월한 지식인 (2000 Outstanding Intellectuals of the 21st Century) 2016년판(10th Edition)”에 등재되었다.
김상철 교수는 지난 수년간 네트워크 분야의 세계적 SCI 권위지인 IEEE Transactions on Mobile Computing, IET Electronics Letters, Journal of Elsevier Computer Communications, Journal of Communications and Networks, Wireless Networks, Transactions on Internet and Information Systems에 주저자 및 단독 저자로 다수의 논문을 발표하였으며, 10건 이상의 특허를 등록하였다. 네트워크의 효율적 자원 할당을 연구 중인 김상철 교수는, 이번 국제인명센터(IBC) 등재로, 이동 컴퓨팅을 수학적으로 정립하고 네트워킹 성능을 분석한 연구 결과를 국제 사회에서 학문적으로 인정받았다. 김상철 교수는 올해 3월 미국 "마르퀴즈 후즈 후(Marquis Who's Who in the World)" 등재에 이어, 9월 영국 캠브리지 국제인명센터(IBC)에도 등재되었다.
1970년대에 설립되어 40년의 역사를 갖고 있는 영국 캠브리지 국제인명센터(IBC, International Biographical Centre)는 유럽을 대표하는 세계적 인명기관으로 미국의 마르퀴즈 후즈 후(Marquis Who's Who), 미국 인명정보기관(ABI, American Biographical Institute)과 더불어 세계 3대 인명사전 중의 하나이며, 영국 케임브리지에 위치하며 개인적ㆍ학술적 연구에서 중요한 업적을 달성한 전 세계의 학자와 연구자를 등재하고, 세계적 석학을 초빙해 국제회의를 개최하고 있다.
