'공공데이터 활용 비즈니스 아이디어 공모전' 웹툰 부문 대상 수상 / 최원영(국제통상학과 11)

국민대학교 최원영(국제통상학과 11) 학생이 산업통상자원부가 주최한 '제5회 공공데이터 활용 비즈니스 아이디어 공모전'에서 웹툰 부문 대상(산업통상자원부 장관상)을 수상하였다. 작년에 같은 부문에서 '한국전력사장상'을 수상한 데 이어 올해도 수상함으로써 2년 연속 수상의 쾌거를 이뤄냈다.
최원영 학생은 '공공데이터를 활용한 해외전시회 정보'라는 제목으로, 국내 수출 기업의 제품을 어떻게 하면 해외에 더욱 효과적으로 알릴 수 있을까에 대한 질문에서 아이디어를 착안하여 가상의 수출기업인 '국민상사'가 공공데이터를 통해 해외전시회에 참가하여 성공하는 스토리를 에피소드 형식으로 웹툰에 담았다.
이번 공모전은 산업부와 산하 공공기관의 공공데이터를 활용한 아이디어와 제품, 서비스를 발굴하자는 취지로 진행되었으며, 산업부는 총 152건의 응모작 가운데 아이디어 기획 9건, 제품 및 서비스 개발 9건, 웹툰 제작 6건 등 총 24건을 최종 선정하고 산업부 장관상과 6천600만 원의 상금 등을 수여했다.
최원영 학생은 상장과 함께 300만 원의 상금을 받았으며 향후 디자인코리아 2017 참가와 글로벌 시장 진출, 다양한 창업 지원 프로그램 참가 등을 지원받을 예정이다.
