한국수입자동차협회(KAIDA)는 KAIDA 자동차산업 인재육성 프로그램의 일환으로 국내 3개 자동차공학 대학원(국민대, 연세대, 한양대) 대학원생 5명에게 장학금을 전달했다고 23일 밝혔다.
전날 서울 종로구에 위치한 두가헌에서 열린 행사에는 정재희 한국수입자동차협회 회장, 윤대성 부회장, 국민대 임홍재 교수, 연세대 전광민 교수, 한양대 허건수 교수 및 수상자들이 참석했다.
자동차산업 인재육성 프로그램의 장학생은 국민대 자동차공학 전문대학원 문진규, 국민대 자동차공학 전문대학원 곽주환, 연세대 일반대학원 기계공학부 조정근, 한양대 일반대학원 미래자동차공학과 박종원, 한양대 일반대학원 미래자동차공학과 김경표 총 5명이다.
올해 10회를 맞는 KAIDA 자동차산업 인재육성 프로그램은 한국수입자동차협회가 글로벌 경쟁력을 갖춘 국내 우수 인력을 양성하기 위해 마련한 프로그램으로 2009년부터 국내에서 자동차공학 대학원을 운영하는 국민대학교, 연세대학교, 한양대학교 3개 대학원 교수들로 구성된 자문위원회와 함께 심사를 통해 장학생을 선발하여 장학금을 전달하고 있다.
정재희 한국수입자동차협회 회장은 “앞으로도 한국수입자동차협회와 회원사들은 국내 자동차 산업을 이끌고 있는 한 축으로 사회적 책임을 다하기 위해 더욱 노력할 것”이라고 말했다.
